Creative Electronics with Arduino

Creative Electronics with Arduino

This program, created in collaboration with SparkFun Electronics, presents an introduction to the world of embedded electronics with Arduino. Arduino was created to empower artists and engage the creative mind in building projects with an interactive component. Students will begin this program by learning the basics of digital control systems, how to use analog sensors, and how to control a state machine using buttons. We will then build on this knowledge to create systems that make sound and control powerful RGB and LCD displays. Lastly, students will get an introduction into robotics and work with motors, transistors, and serial communication.

Please note: This program is currently in development and will open for enrollment once a release date is scheduled.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understanding of and ability to write code that interacts with the physical world through both analog and digital interfaces
  • Ability to design and build interactive projects that create lighting patterns and sound
  • Understanding of fundamental analog electronics
